Awards & Honors
The Awards & Honors Committee, with financial support from WLAF and vendors listed below, reviews nominations and selects the following awards:
- Trustee of the Year
- WLA/DEMCO Librarian of the Year (Award winner will receive $1,000)
- Special Service Award
- Library of the Year
- Citation of Merit
- Muriel Fuller Award
- WLA/Highsmith Award (Award winner will receive $1,000)
WLA/WEMTA Intellectual Freedom Award
Administered by the Intellectual Freedom Round Table, with funding from TeachingBooks.net and the Center for Information Policy Research and the School of Information Studies, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
The Literary Awards Committee of Readers' Section selects the WLA Literary Award, Outstanding Books of the Year, and Notable Wisconsin Authors.
The Children's Book Award Committee of Youth Services Section selects the Elizabeth Burr/Worzalla Award, Outstanding Books of the Year, and Notable Wisconsin Authors/Illustrators.
Frances de Usabel Outreach Services Award: ($250)
Administered by the Outreach Services Round Table, with funding from the siblings of Frances de Usabel.
