Collaborations
In the spirit of collaboration - which is central to special librarianinship - AWSL and the Wisconsin chapter of the Special Libraries Association (SLA) promote each other's events to foster communication and networking.
Like WLA-AWSL, the SLA Wisconsin Chapter represents large corporations, law firms, universities, government and non-profit institutions. Ongoing educational events provide opportunities for professional development, thereby increasing the value of the profession and supporting the mission of SLA.
All SLA programs are promoted on their website: http://wisconsin.sla.org/ and are open to non-members. AWSL members are encouraged to attend not only for personal enrichment, but also to continue the shared commitment to working together between these two professional organizations.
