Wednesday, October 26: 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m.
Thursday, October 27: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Friday, October 28: 8:00 a.m. to Noon
WLA units are invited to sell items in the WLA store during the October 25-28, 2005, WLA Annual Conference in La Crosse.
This is an opportunity to make some money for your unit and WLA!!! Please designate only one person per unit to liaise with Mary Bloedow or Lori Bock, store managers.
Be Creative!
Units selling items in the store will retain 85% of their proceeds with 15% going to WLA.
Think about selling on consignment: you can return what you don't sell and your unit won't be trying to sell them next year. We've contacted local artists about selling their art in the store and they will sell on consignment.
Typically, items that have a selling price of less than $15.00 do well. Smallish items gathered up by conference goers for their staff, volunteers, children, dogs, cats, and significant others also tend to sell well. Units will need to let us know IN ADVANCE what they are going to sell.
Please let us know by September 9th what, if anything, you are going to sell. Please let us know what questions you have as we are sure I haven't covered every detail.
Let's make this a GREAT store.....that includes unique, hand-made, Wisconsin-artisan items that are fun to behold and fun to buy!
