Government Information Round Table (GIRT)

Government Information Day

GIRT sponsors an annual conference for anyone interested in government information, federal and state depositories and government information policy. This year's 2009 conference featured speakers from the Wisconsin Freedom of Information Council, the GPO Office of the Superintendent of Documents, and more. About GIRT

The Wisconsin Library Association Government Information Round Table serves librarians and other library staff who work with the information provided in all formats by government agencies at the local, state, federal, and international levels. 

The Government Information Round Table sponsors the annual Spring Government Information Day; sponsors other workshops; sponsors presentations at Wisconsin Library Association conferences; works to support full and free access to federal, state, and local government information in Wisconsin; publishes the Eagle Press newsletter; and presents the annual Wisconsin Distinguished Document Award.
