Congratulations to the 2004 MATS Webbies winners!
MATS wanted to celebrate excellence in Wisconsin web site design, and so the MATS Webbies Awards were born.
Nominations were accepted through the month of September in the following categories: Coolest Design, Best Reference Site, Best Site for Kids, Best Site by a Wisconsin Library Employee (not necessarily library-related). We also selected a "Best of the Best" from all of the nominated sites.
The MATS Board selected the winners for 2004:
- Coolest Design (5 sites were nominated)
Wisconsin Historical Society
- Best Reference Site (9 sites were nominated)
Wisconsin State Law Library
- Best Site for Kids (4 sites were nominated)
Milwaukee Public Library Kids Page
- Best Site by a Wisconsin Library Employee (not necessarily library-related) (7
sites were nominated)
Mount Horeb Public Library
- Best of the Best from all of the 25 Webbies nominations:
Wisconsin Historical Society
(Awarded a 40GB portable, external USB hard drive courtesy of MATS!)
