The 1978 Banta Award AUTHORS
Reid A. Bryson, Professor of Meteorology and Geography and Director
of the Institute for Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison,
is an internationally known climatologist. He is the author of four
books and more than 140 articles, and has served as consultant and advisor
to groups concerned with climate and food production.
Thomas
J. Murray is a professional writer who has specialized in the presentation
of scientific information to non-scientists. He has served with the
Institute of Environmental Studies and the College of Engineering at
the University of Wisconsin-Madison
