Continuing Education Scholarship (George Bauer Memorial Fund)
This annual scholarship is available to applicants meeting the following criteria:
- Employed in a library in Wisconsin
- Planning to attend a workshop, conference, or other continuing education program within or outside Wisconsin
Application Form (due September 15)
Applicants must submit a completed application form (Word or PDF) and a copy of the information on the proposed continuing education program to:

Applicants will be notified by mail. The scholarship recipient will be announced at the annual WLA fall meeting.
Scholarship Amount ($800 in 2009)
The scholarship’s monetary award varies and is based on funds available from the WLA Foundation, Inc.
Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of:
- Experience and background on library work
- Benefits of the scholarship
- Need and desire for the scholarship
