Homework Assignment for WAAL, 2003

This is just a little "heads up" if you are planning to attend WAAL 2003. On Thursday afternoon, there will be a book discussion program sponsored by the WLA Readers Section, this time on historical fiction. The book we'll discuss is Pat Barker's Regeneration. It's not necessary to have read the book to come to the program, but, if you want to, this message is to give you enough time to do so. The highlight of past programs has been folks' sharing of book recommendations, so be thinking of good historical fiction you want your colleagues to try. Happy reading!

The UWM Libraries and the UWM School of Education's Center for Children's Literature proudly present the first retrospective exhibition of children's books by Jules Feiffer, on view in the:

Fourth Floor Exhibition Gallery, Golda Meir Library
UW-Milwaukee
2311 E. Hartford Ave., Milwaukee

April 2 - June 30, 2003
Gallery hours: Monday-Friday, 8 am--4:30 pm, and during events.

And additionally,

Opening Reception, with a presentation and book signing by Jules Feiffer,
Wednesday, April 2, 2003, 4:30--6:00 pm
Fourth Floor Conference Center, Golda Meir Library

This presentation will also include a special on-site drawing session by Mr. Feiffer for children and the young at heart.
