Connect in the City: Librarians, Students and Faculty
Every year the Wisconsin Association of Academic Librarians
Conference gives its members and friends the opportunity to present and
discuss ideas for furthering the mission of academic libraries and improving
the development of library and information professionals.
This year's conference will provide Wisconsin library professionals
a unique opportunity to "Connect in the City" in Milwaukee on
April 2-4. The theme of the conference highlights the importance of the
connection between students, faculty and academic librarians.

The 2003 WAAL Conference will also give participants and
presenters a great opportunity to enjoy the city of Milwaukee. Some of
the events already planned are:
a "hard-hat" tour of the new Raynor
Library on the Marquette University campus
an evening reception at the UWM Libraries that will include a tour of
the American Geographical
Society Library, a "swap-meet," poster
sessions and an assortment of hors d'oeuvres and cocktails.
