Welcome!
Let’s go to the Wisconsin Dells! Long a family vacation destination, the Dells evokes for many of us memories of scenic river trips, dogs leaping across high precipices, duck boats, salt water taffy, and trips to souvenir shops. And while today’s visitors can enjoy all these things, they can add visits to water parks, theme parks, magic shows, comedy clubs and discount malls to their itineraries. There are many things to discover and fond memories to be made in the Wisconsin Dells.
In April 2007, you’ll have the opportunity to DISCOVER WAAL @ Wisconsin Dells. Take a few days away from your workplace and come to the Dells to connect with colleagues, make new library friends, and develop new ideas and fresh approaches to library service. All of us, whether we spend our days working in technical areas or working directly with patrons, help our users discover information. So come to the Dells to discover some new things for your self. That path of discovery will lead directly back to your library, where you’ll be able to implement new ideas or simply make better the good things that you are already doing to serve your users.
Thanks to the 2007 WAAL Conference Co-chairs, Jim Buckett and Sylvia Contreras and all the members of the WAAL Conference Planning Committee for planning an outstanding conference that will lead us on that path of discovery. DISCOVER WAAL @ Wisconsin Dells and take home lots of inspiration along with that salt water taffy!
