with wonderful ideas to implement. Here is a taste of what is on the program
for the conference…
- Keynote Address: May you Live in Exciting Times: Is it a Blessing or is
it a Curse?
In her keynote address, Sarah Long, director of the North Suburban Library
System and past president of the American Library Association will identify
eight areas of excitement and change for public libraries. Long will
illustrate the possibilities in each area with real-life examples from
Wisconsin libraries. How will your library rank? Are you working in all
eight areas or do you need to cultivate your taste for excitement and
ratchet up your enthusiasm for change? Join us for this provocative and
entertaining session.
- Library Systems in Illinois: Services, Organization, Issues, Transitions
Sarah Ann Long, Keynote speaker and Director, North Suburban Library System,
Wheeling, Illinois, will do a breakout session after her keynote speech. In
this session, she will provide first-hand information on library systems in
Illinois from her perspective as an Illinois library system director – what
