The WLA WeLead Task Force is pleased to announce the selection of the following protégés from more than 30 applications for the positions for the 2007-09 WeLead class:

Katherine Clark, Multi-Site Library Assistant, Madison Public Library, paired with Claudia Backus, Library Services Specialist, Waukesha County Federated Library System.

Kelley Hinton, Instructional and Public Services Librarian, UW Waukesha, and Reference Librarian, Brown Deer Public Library, is paired with Linda Vincent, Branch Manager, Milwaukee Public Library - Zablocki

Melissa McLimans, Digital Services Librarian, UW Digital Collections Center, Madison, is paired with Deb Shapiro, Instructional Program Manager, UW Madison SLIS.

Kyle Neugebauer, Circulation Specialist, Northand College Dexter Library, Ashland, is paired with Emily Rogers, Coordinator of Access Services, UW Green Bay Cofrin Library.

2005-07 Proteges and Mentors

During the three year initiative selected participants will be given:

• a one-year WLA membership;
• stipends to attend the WLA annual conference for three years;
• a stipend to attend one section conference during the three-year initiative;
• an appointment to a WLA committee;
• special leadership programming opportunities;
• and opportunities to network with their mentor.
