WISLR WLA Conference Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to promote attendance at the Wisconsin Library Association Annual Conference.This scholarship is available to librarians who meet the following criteria:
- Employed in a library or information agency in Wisconsin
- Must be able to communicate knowledge gained, especially how this knowledge can be applied to small libraries, to fellow WISLR members.
- Must be a member of the Wisconsin Small Libraries Roundtable.
Applicants will be evaluated based on:
- Need and desire for scholarship
- Previous conference attendance opportunities
- Small and rural library leadership potential
Applications will be evaluated by a committee of the Wisconsin Small Libraries
Roundtable Board.
Application Deadline: Postmarked or emailed by August 3, 2009.
Recipient will be notified by August 17.
Scholarship options:
$300 Scholarship for lodging, registration, meals and mileage
(may be divided into two $150 awards if the full award is not needed.)
$150 Scholarship for registration, meals and mileage
Scholarship winners will be expected to:
- Attend entire conference for which the scholarship has been awarded.
- Submit newsletter article to Whistlestop (WISLR newsletter) sharing what has been learned gained from conference..
- Attend WISLR meetings while at the conference.
